Nobody gets into teaching for the money. They do it because they genuinely want to make a difference and contribute in a meaningful way. When teachers share their profession at a weekend BBQ,
they’re invariably met with the following comments; “That’s an easy job – you only work 9 till 3pm”, “Look at all the holidays you get”, “That’s not a real job”. Teaching can be a thankless task. But the reality is, we have so much to thank them for.
Teachers take their job very seriously.
They lay awake at night thinking about the welfare of particular kids. They get to work early to prepare for the day ahead. They spend weekends marking and writing reports.
